Let’s address the elephant in the room: the name and branding of this site has changed. There’s a story to it, but first we need to rewind a little bit.
About a year ago I made seemingly a very similar post as this, laying out the foundations for my new priorities. I was supposed to treat work and employment as the necessary evil, and concentrate on this creative outlet, on better habits, and just traveling more. Funny thing is that I failed the execution, but somehow ended up on the upside anyway.
I certainly managed to solve the employment problem, as I got fired back in August. Sad? No. Relieved? Yes. New and interesting opportunity presented itself, and that allowed me to start my own company. So, I’m an entrepreneur now, but really it’s just a man and a laptop for the time being.
Up to this part everything sounds fairly reasonable. What I did differently though, is that I decided adopt the same principle in my life as in my business. It’s mission first, and everything else adapts.
So, I decided start my company in Tbilisi, Georgia for maximal financial freedom. I reduced my belongings just to few bags for maximal mobility. And finally: I weaponize my ability to tolerate uncertainty, because apparently that’s rare.
Moving to Switzerland about 1.5 year ago felt like a big step, including the international relocation and a job at a tech start up. Now relocating Georgia, starting company, and serving international clients feels like an average Tuesday.
And that’s what the new Goblin Protocol is about. What may seem bold to average people, should feel like nothing.
Welcome aboard the ride.
P.S. Funny thing how one of the very first posts on this site was about Georgia.
